Air or Sea Vessel Carriers Transporting Cattle, Sheep, Goats, Camelids, Bison and Water Buffalo
Posted on Feb 22, 2024 in MainAn update to Chapter 4-16 of the Hawai‘i Administrative Rules requires air and sea carriers to notify the Animal Industry Division when the following species are moved between island ports via air or sea.
- Cattle
- Sheep
- Goats
- Camelids
- Bison
- Water Buffalo
A Shipmaster’s Declaration must be filled out by the vessel’s captain or official that can certify the number and type of animal moved. (This requirement applies to transport of ruminant species listed above, but does not apply to transport of horses or swine)
